Installing CiviMail on a shared hosted server
February 11, 2008, 02:38:54 pm
From what I've read here and tried myself, setting up CiviMail on a shared hosted server is either not possible or is very difficult (and thus beyond my skills).

Has anyone successfully installed CiviMail on a shared hosted server and got it fully working?

If that is not an option, has anyone used a hosted CiviMail SMTP service? Can anyone recommend such a service?

Are there any other options short of setting up my own server? I'm volunteering for a non-profit organization and that is not a viable solution.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I think Drupal/CiviCRM provides a truly outstanding set of tools and I would really like to use them if I can get CiviMail working.
