Contribution pages not showing up for anonymous user
February 11, 2008, 05:01:44 pm
I'm having trouble getting our membership payment pages (contribution pages) viewable by anonymous user.
On this page
http://208.112.97.149/membership-information/how-join

Click on the Join as a Division A Member (Agency/Water Supplier) link at the bottom of the first description:
http://208.112.97.149/civicrm/watereuse/agency?reset=1&action=preview&id=1

I've checked other similar posts and it seems I have the same permissions in access control checked, but I must be missing something.

Any guesses?

Thanks - Teddy

I clicked "access civicrm" for anonymous user and it makes the forms in question available. Is that one of the standard boxes that should have been checked?

Thanks Kurund.

A couple things: 1) The topic issue seems to be a bit different than the issue I was experiencing and 2) I have no idea what this means: "2. In Profile Setting Used For: Profile is checked."

Can you explain further?

Thanks,

Teddy

I had similar problems and finally started just clicking various access enable for anonymous until it started working....  The anon. prvis identified in the threads I could find were not sufficient to enable anonymous contributions

Permissions for "anonymous" role on our Drupal Demo are set per my previous post:
- access all custom data
- make online contributions
- profile listings and forms
- register for events (which I did not mention earlier because you didn't seem to be using CiviEvent)

I am able to access our sample contribution page as anonymous:
http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=1&action=preview

It's possible that there is some combination of elements on a contribution page (profile fields, which payment processor, etc.) that causes it to NOT be accessible to anonymous role with the above permissions. If so, this is definitely a bug. It would be quite helpful if you could recreate a contribution page on the demo, with the elements you have on your site - in order to see if the above permissions are sufficient or not.

As noted I had to check the same box as the original poster including access civicrm.  I wa susing PalPal Web standard and beyond that I tried everything,  so it seems that in this and other respects there are some major diffs between the demo site and what some of us are running....  I have drupal 5.7 and Civicrm 1.9.13019.

Trying to duplicate the error may be a lost cause as no matter what I do at this point a) I get the Main" validation error when running it through w3c validator as strict xhtml though your code does not and b) I continue to get rather bizarre display of elements no matter what I do on my site (i.e. there is nothing I have been able to on our install to alleviate this problems I am having......

Since you have not yet gone live, you might want to just install 2.0 and see if that fixes some of your issues. In general we tend to support and fix the latest release and right now all our energy is focussed on getting 2.0 into final release

You might also want to consider getting some help from someone in our professional services listing: http://civicrm.org/professional/
