Configuring Civicrm to Handle Signup Instead of Drupal

How can one configure Civicrm to handle New User sign up with its own username and password form instead of using drupal? I have searched the documentation bit could not find it.Any help will be appreciated.

 Not clear how you are trying to do this - but if you create a CiviCRM profile and 'require' that it creates a Drupal account in the Adv Setting of the profile it may do what you are after.
