Current Employer in Search View Not Displaying

Hi all,

I know this issue has been track and reported resolved (http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php?topic=19799.0 and http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,21836.msg91467.html#msg91467), but what I'm attempting doesn't work in the Civi demo either:

  • I created a profile called Search Employer (Used For Profile and Search Results)
  • I made sure I had a contact record in the db with the current employer field filled
  • I performed an Advanced Search with Search Views set to my Search Employer, Display results as set to Related Contacts/Employee of, and the contact type set to Organizations.

The results return the contact name, but no Current Employer field.

Am I doing the search incorrectly?

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Can you add other fields and see if the profile view is working (like other custom fields etc)

If i had to guess, the "current employer" field aspect is not working in as a profile view. I'm not very sure if it ever worked either

Hi Lobo,

I just tested in http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org.

  • Created another Search Employer profiile with First Name, Last Name, Current Employer and Email.
  • Did an Advanced Search for
    • Search Views: Search Employers
    • Display Results As: Related Contacts-Employee of (btw, when I selected Related Contacts I had to reload the page to get the dependent dropdown to appear
    • Contact Type: Organizations

Didn't display any of the columns.
