civi memberships module Help

I can't seem to get this module to work. getting the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method CivicrmHelperApi::setPaths() in /home/svtrail1/public_html/Joomla/modules/mod_my_civimemberships/mod_my_civimemberships.php on line 19

It looks like the helper API file is already there.

What is the listed compatibility for this module? 

Would be great if you could bring it up to date with the latest Joomla and CiviCRM versions.

It is listed as compatible with Joomla 1.5 and 1.6.  I am usingis 1.6. Civicrm version is not listed.
Any other suggestions?

As far as I can see this module was was last touched in 2009. Would be great if you could bring it up to the latest codebase!
