Event Registration requiring Drupal account creation "Give option" checked
January 31, 2012, 06:17:40 am
I am setting up an event that should have public registration. On the registration form it is prompting for a Drupal username despite "Give option, but not required" being checked on all known profiles.

Drupal permission for anonymous:

CiviCRM: access uploaded files
CiviCRM: profile listings and forms
CiviCRM: profile create
CiviCRM: access all custom data
CiviEvent: register for events
CiviEvent: view event info

Profile settings:
Add new contacts to a Group? = [Group Name]
Give option, but not required
Allow duplicate contact to be created

Note that drupal user registration option would be shown only when you are logged out and accessing event page as anonymous user.

Apologies, I left out that I was logged out. It is forcing an account to be made no mater where I have the option set, no Drupal account, option to create or force.

and/or can you confirm there is only one Profile on the Event page - just in case you have more than one, and one of the others is set to 'required'

While I have not been able to fix this or see if I could duplicate the issue on demo. I think we might use Webform CiviCRM so we can address conditional fields.

I will see if I can add it to the demo site next week.
