Using CiviEvent for monthly events and refunding if not enough participants
February 02, 2012, 10:39:08 am
Hey everyone,

I am considering using CiviEvent to organize regular monthly meetings. These meetings are catered and so there is a cost for each one. We charge $20 per meeting. In addition, we need to get a minimum of 15 participants each month and max 30 participants.

If we don't reach that minimum number, we would like to cancel the meeting and refund the participants all of their money and then refocus attention again on the next meeting.

Right now I am using CiviContribute already with the google checkout payment processor so that's all working already.

Does anyone have experience with this sort of thing? Or should I use Eventbrite or Brown Paper Tickets instead? Or another service you'd recommend?

Cheers,

Tobias
