Sample data, PLEASE

Beloveds,

Really the Civi is amazing, BUT
Why don't we beginners have a sample data package to start with?
Can you imagine Joomla without sample data?
I am testing the 4.1b in Joomla 2.5.1 and i am very anxious to see in my test site the links to the features of the component... but it is not easy. I don't know if the component has errors or what, i couldn't manage to do anything yet.

I think with a civi sample data package the whole thing would take new dimensions in it's use.

I have been to the civi demo site Joomla 1.5. It has errors and not enough infos there. Would be nice to have sample data like in the Drupal Test site for NCCommunities http://test.nccommunities.org/civicrm... it all happens in the front end?  :'(

Someone give me a light?  ???

You can choose to populate the site with sample data during installation. (The demo sites have that sample data in them)

Easiest thing to do would be re-install and click the check box to install sample data that appears on the installation page.

The joomla component installer does not allow us to ask any questions :( and hence this option is not present for joomla

When I reinstall thru extension manager of joomla it just does not give me any alternative. The component civicrm appears in the component menu of Joomla. That is it.

Are we talking about the same thing?

I am laughing out loud!  :D

I am really into using civi in my non-profit org, but i am just a musician. My skills in programing are very close to zero. Due to not being able in the moment to pay for a team to do it for me i have to try doing the most i can by myself. This is my reality.  ;)

I count on you, beloveds!!  :-*

A sample data package would save millions of independent people like me and would also spread civi like fire!!  8)
