Email Error Plugin

I am looking into this code for drupal   http://drupal.org/project/civicrm_error  that will email you when there is an error produced.  I am trying to rework the code to work with joomla.  Does anyone else have the experience to help transfer this code into joomla.  I just am not quite competent enough in joomla to make it work yet.

there's a sample plugin here:

that will get you started with using civicrm hooks in joomla plugins.
i'm not familiar with that drupal module, so i don't know how easily it is migrateable.
