Hi,

I've created a custom data set and a custom field in 4.0.8 - at this point I want to delete both and create a new data set under a different name and in it, a custom field with the same name as the one I previously used. Logical thing is to delete the set and the custom field - one or both as required. But nowhere in the version I'm using can you delete either - that I can find in the UI or help! Even if it's doable, it's very, very badly documented/implemented. *Very* frustrating - how does one accomplish what I'm trying to do?

If you visit the "Custom Data" page: civicrm/admin/custom/group?reset=1 you will see a list of your groups. Click on "View and Edit Custom Fields" next to one and you will see a list of the fields in that group.

To the far right of each field is a link "more ->" Click that and there is an option to Delete the field.
