Adding fields to quick search view?
February 07, 2012, 09:09:07 am
Per the below screen shot, I need to know how to add an individual's "middle name" to the quick search results.

I have tried changing "Default Contact Search Profile", but any selection seems to remove more fields. Do I need to customize the profile and if so how do I do that so I can see the middle name in the default basic search results.

Hello mdsias,

I think I might have found your solution.

Go to Administer-->Customize Data and Screens-->Profiles. Select Fields on the profile you want to use for the search. Add the middle name field, making certain that it's visibility is set to public pages, and select save. make sure that all of the other fields that you would like to see in your search results have their visibility set to public pages as well. otherwise they won't appear.
Now save this profile as your default search profile ( Administer-->Customize Data and Screens-->Search Preferences)

That should fix the problem.

Cheers,
Jason
