Odd characters in table civicrm_address

When selecting the field 'name' from the table "civicrm_address", many records have odd characters separating the first and last name.  For example:   AndreaSmith

How can I replace those characters with regular spaces?  Also, this mainly seems to occur with records that were tied to a credit card contribution.
