In activity_status - Option Values when you want to add a new value there is a filed for Option Group name, what is that and how is it used?

we've been using 'name' across more of civicrm tables in the recent past.

Basically its a language-independent (i.e. not translated) programmatic handle on an object (i.e. instead of ID)

for user-generated objects, we typically create it from the 'label' or 'title' field
