Error when copying contribution pages
February 13, 2008, 01:37:23 pm
I've got a couple of working contribution pages configured. I wanted to create a new one based on an existing one, so I hit the "Copy Contribution Page" link. Unfortunately I got the following error. Any thoughts on what might be wrong? (I'm using CiviCRM 1.9.x and Drupal 5.x.)

Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

is not of the type Int

You might want to log off, close your browser and re login - then try again - as this type of error may be caused by a session issue (were you editing multiple online contrib pages in different browser windows or tabs, etc.).

Otherwise, please try to setup a contribution page with similar characteristics on the 2.0 demo site (http://demo.civicrm.org) - and see if you can recreate the error. I've copied our sample contrib pages without problems - but there may be a particular aspect of your page(s) that is triggering this bug.

I tried it out on the demo site as you suggested and it worked fine. This is a 2.0 site (not a 1.9 site) so the components of the contribution pages had changed. I tried to keep them the same regardless.

I went back to my site and discovered that a copy had indeed been made, despite the error message. I didn't see it initially, but I did once I refreshed the page. I checked its components and they all seemed to be present and correct.

I logged in from another browser to eliminate session errors and got the same results. The error message occurred but the copy seemed to complete ok.

So I think there is a small bug in 1.9 somewhere, which appears to have been fixed in 2.0.
