CiviEvent Freezing
February 16, 2012, 09:05:11 pm
Hi everyone! I've just installed CiviCRM (this afternoon) in a subdomain of my site - crm.atslearn.com, and I'm looking for it to be the godsend I need to manage our client and student relationships.

In creating templates for our classes, the site freezes and I have to kill the page. I'm copying and pasting the code from our current registration plugin, Event Espresso, and deleting any rogue characters. The install freezes when I try to edit the event template, and when I try to create an event based on the template. This is a brand new install - there are no events yet. I don't get any on-screen errors, the window/tab (I'm using Chrome) just freezes. Any ideas or suggestions totally welcome.

Can you check the server logs for an error?

You would have to ask your host or sysadmin where to find those.

It looks like Civi just didn't like being in bed with my main WP install. I moved it to its own site and all appears to be well.
