Using WordPress standard PlugIn updates
February 17, 2012, 06:54:10 am
As CiviCRM is now on WordPress, I'd like to see any updates made using the simple method that other plugins use to update.

User would be notified on their WordPress dashboard of a CiviCRM update and just click on update plug in and all update tasks would be handled by the plugin and not require user to manually perform tasks.

yes, we do agree. Making upgrades (and installs) as simple and automated as possible is a good and important goal.

If you/your org can contribute code/resources/funding to help move towards that goal, it would be great :)

I too would like to put my vote in for this, sadly We just got our state charter last month, and have no resources to contribute to this.
