Bulk Mail Account does not work

I have my own email address set up as the mail account for bounced processing. When I do a new scheduled mailing it works successfully. We have an email account we use for replys and I created a noreply address that is an alias of the reply account. When I put in the username and password for that account and then I add the noreply+ for the local part then try to do a mailing it does not work. Can we use address aliases for bounce accounts? Is there any reason this will not work?

not sure i understand

can u elaborate a bit more on what specific part does not work? the bounce handling is quite separate from the mail delivery

Note that bounce processing won't work unless you have the cron job setup for such.

I do have the CRON job set up and I am getting this error message:
Finished execution of Bounces fetcher with result: Failure, Error message: Process Bounces failed

Here are my account parameters:
Server:      <<server name>>
username:    noreply
Password:    <<enter my password>>
LocalPart:    noreply+
Email Domain: <<enter my domain name>>
Return-Path: Empty
Protocol:         Pop3
Source:        Empty
Use SSL;       checked
Used for:      Bounce Processing

Can you manually confirm that your POP3 settings are all correct? You can check by configuring a desktop email client to use those settings--just temporarily to check.
