500 Internal Server Error
February 22, 2012, 07:16:38 am
Hello folks!

I am currently attempting to install CiviCRM 4.1 for wordpress on IIs7.5.

After needing to use the directory writable workaround for /plugins/files and /plugins/civicrm, i get the 500 error when attempting to go to the configuration checklist, or even when trying to click on the CiviCRM button on the Dashboard.

I have verified that the install page was able to make the needed files and folders.(Therefor i know the directories are truly writable.)

I have found the following errors in the PHP logs.

[22-Feb-2012 06:35:58 UTC] PHP Warning:  Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at C:\inetpub\ccp1\wp-admin\menu-header.php:91) in C:\inetpub\ccp1\wp-content\plugins\civicrm\civicrm.php on line 125
[22-Feb-2012 06:35:58 UTC] PHP Fatal error:  Class 'CRM_Core_DAO' not found in C:\inetpub\ccp1\wp-content\plugins\civicrm\civicrm.php on line 525

What should be my next step?

My current config is as follows:

Windows 2008 R2
IIs7.5
PHP 5.3
MySQL 5.5

Thank you for any help you can provide.

-Steve

Also i would like to add that, windows appears to remove the read-only attribute from all the files and folders in the civicrm directory, but when i go back into properties again... IT'S BACK!!

Using the DOS command "attrib -r default /s /d" does not make any difference.

This is just plain weird.

Hi

I'm in the same situation...

Even though everything checks out in the installer page, the installation itself returns a 500 Internal Server Error. I managed to install the alpha version for WordPress some time ago, but now with a stable release, it breaks.

I have a fresh WP installation on its own subdomain with its own MySQL-database.
Network: Dreamhost.com
MySQL 5.1.53
PHP 5.3.5
CiviCRM 4.1.1
WordPress 3.3.1
Windows 7
Chrome browser

If you have any insight that will lead me in the right direction, it will be much appreciated!

Kind regards
