Undefined Property for Sort_Name and Undefined index in Group.php
February 22, 2012, 05:37:08 pm
Hi

I have recently installed a fresh civicrm 4.8 in Drupal 7.12 then updated it to civicrm 4.1 without any data

I imported my data, first organisations (imported a seperate file for each organisation type) then individuals and matched them to the organisations through the organisation name and employee of.

In the search box in the menu, when I instigate a search, the following error message displays in the search box:

Notice: Undefined property: CRM_Core_DAO::$sort_name in .../public_html/sites/all/modules/civicrm/api/v3/Contact.php on line 759

This message also displayed in the relationship window of the individual before the company name. (I.e. in the employee of field)

I looked through the forums for a solution and found one that suggested exporting all contacts and then reimporting them using the internal ID to match on.  I did this with all the organisations which seems to have fixed the issue of the error appearing in the relationship box (not the error appearing in the search box)  but now I have a new error on the Find contacts page:

Notice: Undefined index: 1 in .....sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Core/BAO/UFGroup.php on line 416

I have not made any changes to any of the files, and have only added a couple of custom fields.  I am only using civimail, civievent and civireport along with the core and I am not using civimember, contribute, or anything else

Does anyone know what I need to do to correct this?

The first notice was found and fixed earlier today :) so will be part of 4.1.1

can you try and see if you can reproduce and get the second notice to appear on drupal.demo.civicrm.org

thanx

Hi

Thanks - I was not able to recreate the error message but I think I may have imported the organisations using the hash number as internal contact id which is where the error may have occured.  When I first re-imported my contacts on my site my internet browser timed out.  After this I clicked the back button and tried again - it worked with 180 records out of the 400 odd.  When I used the same fields on your site no records were imported.

I have now deleted all of my records (as easy enough to re-import but I still have the same error message as above and now I have a new one:

Notice: Undefined index: 1 in ../public_html/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Contact/Selector.php on line 387

I am thinking that my import from above has totally stuffed something up and I may have to uninstall and reinstall from scratch again.

When is 4.1.1 likely to be released?

I'm having a similar problem with 4.2 - should I start a new topic for this?

Notice: Undefined property: CRM_Core_DAO::$coy.name as country in civicrm_api3_contact_quicksearch() (line 759 of /home/zerocarb/public_html/sites/all/modules/civicrm/api/v3/Contact.php).

Can you verify this notice on the 4.2 sandbox? If so, please list the steps to recreate (and grab a screenshot). I'm not finding that code in api/v3/Contact.php looking at latest 4.2 revision.

I apologize for the delay in replying. I did not know what was meant by testing it in sandbox and since the only problem is that these messages fill up the Drupal log it wasn't a big problem.
