CMS Database Integration

Just wanted to be sure I understood a major change in 4.1.0 and up.  Before you use to have to place code into drupal side files.  Is this done automatically now as long as you choose the correct drupal db table?  Is there any implications with regard to permission changes that needs to be noted?

If you are referring to Views Integration, this has not changed--you must still manually copy and paste the code into settings.php

I am talking about the DB integration not Views.  It use to be copy and paste code into settings.php as far as I can remember.  What is the Views integration that you are referring to?

I refer to Views3 Integration in the wiki. What is the "DB integration" you refer to?

SOrry my confusion.  It is titled CMS Integration and has the views code below the user table value. I applied this and now see the Views types from Civi but I am now looking through the issues trying to find out why the Civi views aren't working.

I gave the drupal db user 'select' permissions on the civi db. This cleared up my views problems.

Thanks Tony, the issue had to do with the fact that 4.1 doesn't have the Event Views templates working.  THey are missing, 4.2 has this slated for fix.
