Civicrm Views and grouping by multiselect
February 29, 2012, 04:11:54 pm
I am trying to create a directory of organizations sorted by category.
Organizations can be listed under multiple categories.
I set up an Advanced Multi-Select field for business categories.
I created my view and set the grouping to the new category field.
The results are grouped by the entire set of categories selected for the organization. For example:
Category: Accounting, CPA, Financial <---- this ends up being a comma seperated list of categories assigned to the contact
 - Organization 1
 - Organization 2
Category: Accounting, CPA
 - Organization 3
 - Organization 4

What I would like to achieve is:
Category: Accounting
 - Business 1
 - Business 2
 - Business 3
 - Business 4
Category: CPA
 - Business 1
 - Business 2
 - Business 3
 - Business 4
Category: Financial
 - Business 1
 - Business 2

Any hints on how I can acheive this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
