Hi,

I recently installed Wordpress and CiviCRM. The configuration of my server doesn't allow the installation of Drupal to complete due to a bug in the Drupal installer, so I decided to try out the Wordpress version (I am not a fan of Joomla).

When I have a profile set up, and use the "account creation required" option in the advanced settings I get an error when someone tries to use the contribution page I've set up to allow registrations.

It creates the contact in CiviCRM, but it does not create the user in the wordpress installation, and the screen that loads is:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method CRM_Utils_System_WordPress::createUser() in wp-content\plugins\civicrm\civicrm\CRM\Core\BAO\CMSUser.php on line 217

I've searched and searched, but I cannot find anyone else with this problem.

This is a bug in the Civi + WP code. We do not have this feature implemented as yet and will disable this option in v4.1. Can you please file an issue describing the issue at http://issues.civicrm.org/

If your org can help develop and/or sponsor more WP integration that would be great and help push the integration forward

I will definitely post a bug report for this one.

Is there a preferred method of getting new contacts into wordpress as users? Does the "synchronize users to contacts" feature work in both directions?

I'll look in to getting the association to fund some development. We're a small community association in a small city, so we'll see what they say.
