Persistent: Invalid response code received from SMTP (outbound mail) server
March 07, 2012, 08:11:32 pm
In trying to the send email we encountered the following error:

Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.
Failed to set sender: b.114.755.8f49e63f73f3768d@ [SMTP: Invalid response code received from SMTP (outbound mail) server while attempting to send email. This is often caused by a misconfiguration in the CiviCRM Outbound Email settings. Please verify the settings at Administer CiviCRM >> Global Settings >> Outbound Email (SMTP). (code: 550, response: invalid address)]

Checking the CiviCRM Outbound Email settings does provide a positive response: SMTP settings are correct.

We would greatly appreciate your assistance with this issue.

Our client is running:
CiviCRM 3.4.8 on Joomla 1.5.25 on GoDaddy with PHP5.2 and MySQL 5.0.

Thank you in advance for your prompt assistance.

Best regards,

Angelo.
