Contact Dashboard in Wordpress

I have tried to use this implementation ?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/user&reset=1 to invoke the Contact/User dashboard on the frontend of my wordpress install with CiviCRM 4.1.1.  I can get a dashboard to load for the admin but not for a non-admin user (Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred. You do not have permission to access this page. Return to home page.)
