Event PCP button redirection

Pretty simple question.  The button on PCP pages related to an event are set to push visitors to the event registration page by default.  Is there an easier way to make it a donate button with the same properties as a PCP page related to a Contribution page?  I am sure you could do this by hard coding it to point to that direction but I was curious if I was missing an option or doing it wrong?

If I understand what your are asking ... yes. Go to the Personal Campaigns tab for that event (Manage Events > Configure ...). Then select Contribution in the Campaign Type dropdown. The inline help there is:

Select "Event" if you want your supporters to encourage people in their network to also register for this event. Select "Contribution" if you want supporters to promote a related online fundraising campaign (by linking to an online contribution page).
