error "email address is not valid" when sending personal campaign to valid add.

Hi,

I have created a Contribution Page using CiviCRM (version 3.4.7)
I am in the beginning of a fundraiser and am unable to upgrade at
this moment due to our deadline.

The problem that I am having is with the personal campaign option.

When I type in a valid email address on the page that comes cup called
"Tell a Friend"

Page has request information as:

First Name:               Last Name:                    Email Address:

I get the error message "The format of this email address is not valid" even
though the addresses are correct.

I would appreciate any information that you have available!
