Three Warnings after upgrade from 3.4.7 to 4.1.1. Should I worry?
March 10, 2012, 07:00:56 pm
Hi all,

Running Drupal 6.25 and upgraded to CiviCRM 4.1.1 just now. The upgrade page told me that the CiviCRM upgrade was successful, but I DID receive 3 warnings at the top of the page.  Here they are (note: the word "derp" has been entered to protect privacy):

Error #1:
warning: file_get_contents(sites/all/modules/civicrm/drupal/../packages/jquery/jquery.js) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/derp/derp_html/includes/common.inc on line 2505.

Error #2:
warning: file_get_contents(sites/all/modules/civicrm/drupal/../packages/jquery/jquery-ui-1.8.11/js/jquery-ui-1.8.11.custom.min.js) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/derp/derp_html/includes/common.inc on line 2505.

Error #3:
warning: file_get_contents(sites/all/modules/civicrm/drupal/../packages/jquery/plugins/jsTree.v.1.0rc2/jquery.jstree.min.js) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/derp/derp_html/includes/common.inc on line 2505.

Has anyone else encountered these warnings and should I be concerned? I'm going to play around with CiviCRM and hope that this isn't anything major.

Did you delete templates_c ? Those files are not in CiviCRM 4.1.1 so your site shouldn't be asking for them.

I did not delete templates_c (wherever, those might be). If I was supposed to, I must have missed it in the upgrade instructions.

Delete all files and folders inside of sites/default/files/civicrm/templates_c

Well played, Hershel.

Well played.

Yes, I missed this in the instructions. Always, always read the instructions. I assume it's safe to go in and delete those files/folders since 4.1.1 isn't using them.

It's always safe to delete those. CiviCRM (any version) will always fill that directory up again. These are cached files used to save time and processor cycles, but if they are deleted, CiviCRM will just regenerate them.
