Activities tab stuck on Processing... doesn't show anything. No JS errors
March 11, 2012, 08:55:50 pm
Hi, I've recently imported some activities of a new type, and on any contact where I imported more than one of those activity types, the Activity tab shows no data.   Entering two or more of these activity types 'by hand' doesn't have the same effect.

I only get "processing..."

There are no jQuery or other errors on the page.  There are no errors in the CiviCRM.log file.  Enabling debugging and backtrace shows nothing, as there are no errors.

Anyone seen anything like this before?

I found out what the problem was.  The data contained many special characters in the Subject field of the .csv I was importing.  These special characters were not being filtered out during the import.  In my spreadsheet the characters looked like a square with a ? inside: [?]

I copied this column out into a simple text editor, and then back into the spreadsheet.  It converted the characters and fixed the problem.
