Joomla 1.5 users database and proposal of crm application
March 14, 2012, 02:24:15 am
The actual site is on Joomla! 1.5, my customer has a users database, mySql in Joomla db, and needs to import that users in a Crm (I think CiviCrm...) and also he want the possibility that a site visitor fill in a form with some data and from this point starts a manual workflow of the request, so there is a employee who assign the request to another employee (chosen by a filtered dropdown box), then there is a status change of the document, so the new employee who has the assigned request can add some data and digital documents as attachments at the original request.
There can be other request status changes also.
In the middle of workflow, when the original visitor firm a contract with an employe, he become a customer so change the initial status of "visitor" in "customer" inside the crm application.
The entire workflow is visible by the administrator and an employee can view a request only if it was assigned to him, or he can also view it but he is non able to modify it.

CiviCrm fits my customer requests?
Thank you
Antonio

Hello Antonio,

CiviCRM does indeed fit your customer requests. You have the ability, through activities, to keep track of your employees' workflow, and it is even possible for their home page to display what activities or tasks they have in store for them on a particular day. you can even set up Automatic reminders, sent by Email, to make sure that they don't forget a project, or follow-up.

Check out the Joomla Demo site to test it out: joomla.demo.civicrm.org/

Hope this helps.

Cheers!
Jason
