When I go to customize civicrm profile and go to edit a field, in the Field name section I can't seem to get the contacts drop down to come up, instead I get the individual drop down list that includes the birth date, employer etc, anyone have an idea what could be wrong?

Looking at my test site the correct drop down list for the contact field contains elements for address, phone etc.

not able to replicate it as I don't know why it's gone like that in the first place, I did move the test site to be ready in the live environment however I did a clean install for civicrm so not sure what's going on
