Custom Case Report

I wish to create a custom case report that does the following:
1. Show how many clients were assigned to each Case type
2. Of these clients, how many
  (a) were male/female
  (b)  spoke English/French/Spanish
  (c)  went to University/didnt
 (d) location   

3. Show total number of cases
4. Show how many clients were served at a particualr location
nb. 2b,c,d are custom fields.



I am thinking of using case details as my base for this report. However, I wanted to find out if anyone had done any work around custom case reports and if they could share some ideas.

Ok back to the drawing board. Now using Activity Summary report.

I renamed ActivitySummary to ActivityRep.
I added a case_type_id in the Display and Filter.... (coped from other reports.)

Now I am stuck at how add that info to the query.

I am attaching my ActivityRep.php file.  If anyone can help, it'd much appreciated.
