Test mail Account Settings

The manual still says to go here straight to the email processor php file in civicrm - bin to test out the emails setup for bounce backs and for autofiling, however this is now deprecated. How do I test these setting from within CiviMail now?

Could you put a link to the manual page you are referring to?

Not sure I understand your question, but the batch/cron has been changed in 4.1
http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC41/Managing+Scheduled+Jobs

Beware that on the bounce (and inbox I think) they are some issues. If you can, wait a week or so and the 4.1.2 version will have that fixed.

@xavier i think he is talking about the Email System Configuration page in the book:
http://book.civicrm.org/user/basic-setup/email-system-configuration

I was just reading it now and came here with the same confusion, anyway we can get someone with an intimate understanding of 4.1 to update this page?
