Organization makes contribution

Is it possible for an organization to make a contribution?

I understand that it always is a person who is doing a contribution, but I'm in a situation that individuals changes often in organizations. I tried to link an organizational profile to a contribution. But this doesn't work.

Can an user make a contribution in the name of a company? I do not want to make use of the employers field because the value must be filled correct.

It is totally possible for an organization to make a contribution.  to record one, go to their contributions tab and click "record offline contribution" then enter all the info.

if you are importing a list of contributions, you'll click on import contributions and a import wizard will appear. be sure to select organization if it is a list of contributions from organizations.

and it may help to link individuals to organizations via relationships.
