I have been using dedupe to make sure that none of our donors were accidentally entered in twice.  I just realized that when I select a group to search for duplicates, that civicrm apparently still searches the entirety of the database for duplicates of records in that group.  This is useful in many cases, perhaps even most, but at least to me it was not obvious at first that this was the behavior.

A check box for "search only inside this group" would be a nice feature.

One possible solution is to add the field group_id in dedude supported fields.
