assign role case manager for cases that client is institution
March 30, 2012, 06:32:49 am
hi, we cannot assign role case manager for cases that client is institution. database say that: "The relationship type definition for the Case researcher (Case Manager) case role is not valid for the client and / or staff contact types.". the "Case researcher" is Individual <> Individual. i cannot define relationship that is both Organisation and Individual <> Individual. do you know how could i solve this?
best regards, Wojtek

Does it allow you to set the relationship to 'All Contacts'? ('select' in the list). You should be able to do this, but I am not sure it will fix your issue. Let me know....

you mean to edit relation 'case researcher' so it points to 'all contacts' in filed 'Contact Type A' and 'B' (on page civicrm/admin/reltype?action=update&id=X) ? i do not have this in the drop down menu. i only have 'individual', 'organisation', household'...

any help with this?

If you choose 'select' in the list (the first option) and press save, you will then see it has All contacts.

thank you Erik :-) it worked! i submitted improvement issue (http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-10028) to add "All contacts" to the pull down list.
