Has anyone configured CiviCase for Donor Prospecting? I know it is possible, but I'd like to chat with someone who has set it up about what the configuration looks like.

To answer your question, no, we did not get anywhere with the project. We found developers who could do the work, but weren't able to find any organizations already using CiviCase in this manner, which was key to deciding whether or not it would work well for my clients - they really wanted to talk to someone who's using it. So they're starting on a commercial database later this week.

It would be great to hear the needs of fundraisers in however much details they're willing to provide, forgetting technical issues for now. We certainly have a need for something similar here, together with the associated reporting. We're also looking at complex grant applications (many of which only reveal their complexity part way through the process).

I think that CiviCase is a suitable basis for this and I will be looking into it - but in the mean time it would be great to hear some wants and needs from fundraisers.
