Paypal only for online page?

Hi I have a question about the payment processors. Is this just for the online registration? If we have someone that calls in to register, is the best way for us to go through the online registration form? If we go to that contact and enter in a new event, will it allow us to pay through paypal there?

If someone calls on the phone to register, it depends. If your PayPal is only the "offsite" variety where the user must visit paypal.com to pay, then you would need their PayPal login information to make a payment.

If your PayPal is the "onsite" variety where visitors can pay via credit card on your site, then you could ask on the phone for their credit card details and then make a transaction. Or of course if your PayPal has a virtual terminal (depending on your account type) you can do a credit card transaction there.

I believe it is onsite since we currently have it integrated into our online events. I am just wondering if we can also use paypal through the event tab on an individual contact? So If I go into a contact, click on the event tab and register them that way and enter in the credit card there, will it be sent to paypal? Or do I have to go through the actual event registration page?
