Error when installing Civicrm 4.1.1 - "Failed Opening... Line 69"
April 03, 2012, 11:29:03 am
I'm trying to install Civicrm but get this message when I go to the tab in the sidebar:

Warning: include(****.com/html/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/install/index.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in ***.com/html/wp-content/plugins/civicrm.php on line 69

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening '***.com/html/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/install/index.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/php-5.2.17/share/pear') in ***.com/html/wp-content/plugins/civicrm.php on line 69

I've tried changing file permissions for the civicrm.php file to execute, but no dice.

Note: I've removed the domain for security reasons.

Check the permissions on the directory html/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/install and if it's also got execute permissions, then ask your host or sys admin.

This did not solve the problem. Are there any other directories I should apply those permissions to?

Generally not, but you could try to apply it to the entire chain.

I fixed it - It was a combination of the following:

- File permissions - set install/index.php to 744
- I didn't upload the civicrm parent folder, but the folders under it in the file directory, I had to edit both civicrm.php and install/index.php with updated links
