Is there any forum type of extension in civicrm?

We would like to allow civicrm users to communicate among them like in a forum. Is there a civicrm extension that can support this functionality?

In the past there was a drupal module that integrated Organic Groups with civicrm, but that module is not longer available.

Forums belong to the CMS side indeed, you should use what drupal can offers you

What do you mean that there isn't integration with OG anymore?

OG integration module hasn't been updated for couple of years: http://drupal.org/project/og_civicrm
