Filing Activities error: This page requires cookies to be enabled

Not quite sure where to put this but all of the other forums regarding this topic are a little off and a little old, so I wanted to put this info out there.

We recently enabled the "Remember Me" module on our Drupal site.  Everything seemed fine, but we found that staff members started to get this error when they tried to log activities in CiviCRM and had NOT checked the "Remember Me" box on login:

We can't load the requested web page. This page requires cookies to be enabled in your browser settings. Please check this setting and enable cookies (if they are not enabled). Then try again. If this error persists, contact the site adminstrator for assistance.

Told everyone to check the box and things seemed ok.  People could open activities.  Then, in Firefox, people continued to have this problem when they tried to submit an activity (they were allowed to open the activity screen this time, but not actually submit the new activity).  (Chrome seemed to work ok.)

Going through related forum topics, it looks like other people have this issue with anonymous users and solved the problem by adding a User ID for those users.  But, all of our users are authenticated.

So, I followed the other forum suggestions:
1) Set the default URL in the Drupal settings.php page (this is optional and was NOT set in our page).
2) Making sure that the civicrm.settings.php had the same URL (it did)
3) Clearing the Drupal cache (which can be done easily through the UI under configuration>development>performance.

That seemed to do the trick.  Now, Firefox is allowing everyone to log activities as long as they check "Remember Me" when they log in.

Not sure exactly what caused the problem (but suspect "Remember Me") nor what fixed it.  But, in case others have the same problem, the fixes above were easy, even for a newbie, and they seemed to work.
