Greetings not used when merging contacts in mailing labels
April 09, 2012, 06:36:08 am
Hi,

We have a few contacts whose first name we don't know, because this is a required field people have placed a '.' in the field and then changed the greetings settings and addressee to show 'Dear Mr Smith' not 'Dear .'

However when outputting labels and selecting to merge contacts at the same address instead of the label using the addressee and merging the two contacts it is merging by using the first name field, therefore we are getting '. & . Smith' instead of 'Mr Smith & Mrs Smith'

Is there anyway of chaging this behaviour?

Cheers,

Dave
