I can see many uses for this, but for me, building a multicurrency module for contribution pages, I am in need of including certain profiles when users are using certain currencies (i.e. Basically GiftAid for UK).

Could this be used to allow membership registration pages to include profiles to register employees of the company?
ie. you purchase a company membership, then click add to add employees one at a time and register then. All on the same page. Just like adding an email address to a contact.
