Google Bot causing 500 errors
April 17, 2012, 11:16:36 am
My Setup => Drupal 7, CiviCRM 4.1, multisite, Ubuntu 10.04

About every minute or so, I'm seeing these type of things in my Apache access log...

66.249.68.121 - - [17/Apr/2012:14:01:55 -0400] "GET /sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Import/Parser.php HTTP/1.1" 500 222 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)"

And the corresponding entry in the error log...

[Tue Apr 17 14:01:55 2012] [error] [client 66.249.68.121] PHP Warning:  require_once(CRM/Utils/String.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mywebsite/public/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Import/Parser.php on line 37

The site seems to be functioning properly, but I have a few questions...

1) Why is Google Bot continuously hitting those URLs? And where is it getting them from?
2) Is this normal and expected behaviour?
3) Is this an indicator of a problem somewhere in my setup?

Not sure.

I don't think so.

No, the error itself is correct, as the URL being requested is not actually valid.

OK, I won't worry about it. Thanks for the reply.
