Organisation fields not allowed in Event Profile?
April 18, 2012, 12:55:21 pm
CiviCRM 4.1.1 on Drupal 6
I have an exhibition event and want to capture the Organisation name and the Responsible individual.
I created two profiles - one for the Individual and one for the Organisation name.
The Individual Profile shows in the dropdown, but not the Organisation.

Does this mean that one cannot capture organisation data in an event profile?
Is there a workaround?

Many thanks
Davy

I believe that is correct.

Perhaps http://drupal.org/project/webform_civicrm could do this.

You can get the Organisation name in an Event registrationn form by adding 'current employer' which is an Individual field. Does get around your other problem though. Like Hershel says webform-civicrm does let you do more complex things but doesn't deal with payments though coleman has found a way of then pushing the 'amount' through to a civi event form.

Thanks for the advice Hershel and Pete. The Current employer is a good solution and I'll look at Webform.
