Contact search returns matching names and emails. Can behaviour be changed?

I know the default behaviour of a search returns a match if either part of a name or the email address matches. One of my clients doesn't like that behaviour. I supposed they want to search on email only using advanced search, like it used to work.

Is there any way to configure this in 4.x?

Hey mr OY - is this what you need?

/civicrm/admin/setting/search?reset=1

Include Email   Yes No
If enabled, email addresses are automatically included when users search by Name. Disabling this feature will speed up search significantly for larger databases, but users will need to use the Email search fields (from Advanced Search, Search Builder, or Profiles) to find contacts by email address.
