How to Configure Self Signed Certificate with civicrm using Drupal

Hey,
Could anyone help me out with installing self signed Certificate.
The platform i am using is Drupal 6.14.

I can access this url: http:// localhost/civicrm

But i am getting 404 Error at https:// localhost/civicrm.

Though i have add exceptions for the self signed cerificate.
