Automatic Subscription to Membership time at Registration
April 23, 2012, 07:48:54 am
How Can i implement a scenario where anyone who registers as a member is automatically subscribed to a Membership Type?
Is there a way to handle this in Civicrm.

This is done via profiles,  add a profile to your contribution page.  If you already use one just simply change it.

You do this in the "advanced settings" section of a profile in the settings for that profile.  Says add new contacts to a group.

Thanks for the reply. Usually, new registrants use the Drupal Account Creation form. Can it work this way or how do i make a profile available to the public as the SignUp Form?

You can make any user-profile part of a Drupal registration profile and/or add/change fields within the reserved-profile that is set to default for Drupal account creation.
