cli.php failed to bootstrap cms 4.1.2 Wordpress Install
April 23, 2012, 07:50:20 pm
Installed 4.1.1 awhile back, and was getting the error "Failed to Bootstrap CMS" when running cli.php on the command line. My command line looks like this:

Code: [Select]
php bin/cli.php -u <user> -p <pass> -e Job -a execute
I recently upgraded to 4.1.2 as I was reading about the error and it looked like it was fixed in this version. Sadly, it is not.

Running:
Code: [Select]
siteaddress/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/bin/cron.php?name=<user>&pass=<pass>&key=<key>
in my browser results in a white screen.

Any ideas what's going on or what I might be doing wrong?

Incidentally, if I run the job manually from the scheduled jobs area of the admin panel, it *says* it ran successfully, but it doesn't actually send the email. The job log also says:

Quote
2012-04-23 21:13:39   Send Scheduled Mailings
0
Summary
Finished execution of Send Scheduled Mailings with result: Success (a:0:{})
Details

Parameters parsed (and passed to API method):
a:1:{s:7:"version";i:3;}

Full message:
Finished execution of Send Scheduled Mailings with result: Success (a:0:{})

But no email is sent.

Can you help with figuring and fixing this issue? If so, ping us on IRC and we can get u started. We definitely need a lot of help from WP developers to get it to the same level as Drupal or Joomla

Hi Donald,

I am definitely not a php programmer, and I know very little about Wordpress other than I like it as a platform for building sites. I've installed Drupal now and am test driving it. If all goes well I might just migrate over to it, as it seems it's far more mature than the Wordpress codebase.

I'll give 4.1.3 a try on my wordpress installation when it's released and report back.

The most important feature is sending mass email from it, which seems not to work for me at the moment, so if I can get that working in Drupal instead I think that'll be the best outcome (now I just need to learn how to do a site in Drupal!)

Cheers!
