Difference in Cancel Registration and Change Participant Status to Cancelled
April 24, 2012, 01:51:08 pm
What is the difference between

1. Cancel Registration
2. Change Participant Status and then select Cancelled

in dialog 'Find Participants'

We found out, that in case 1, 'Cancel Registration', the participants state is set to cancelled.
In case 2, 'Change Participant' and select 'Cancelled', the state of the participant is set to cancelled too AND an email is sent to each participant selected. In the activities list, there are two entries, both of type 'Event Registration', but why? Unfortunately there is no activity entry of Type 'E-Mail'.

Why are there differences and what are they for?

Thank you in advance.
