I also posted this in the CiviEvent forum, but realize that this is actually a more general question about each of the component dashboards ---- how can I make changes if I need to see something different on the component dashboard?

I know how to create a dashlet for the homepage, but is there any way to access the criteria used to produce the reports on the CiviEvent, CiviContribute and other component dashboards?

I'm working with CiviCRM 4.1.1.

I dont think so. We've not converted those to dashlets as yet

another project to standardize on going forward
